SHE WAS RIGHT.

In 1965, seventeen-year-old Frances Adams was told by a fortune teller that one day she’d be murdered. Frances spent the next sixty years trying to prevent the crime that would be her eventual demise. Of course, no one took her seriously – until she was dead.

For Frances, being the village busybody was a form of insurance. She’d spent a lifetime compiling dirt on every person she met, just in case they might turn out to be her killer. In the heart of her sprawling country estate lies an eccentric library of detective work, where the right person could step in and use her findings to solve her murder.

When her great-niece Annie arrives from London and discovers that Frances’ worst fear has come true, Annie is thrust into her great-aunt’s last act of revenge against her sceptical friends and family. Frances’ will stipulates that the person who solves her murder will inherit her millions.

Can Annie unravel the mystery and find justice for Frances, or will digging up the past lead her into the path of the killer?

Partying with popular classmates they barely know is not what Eva and her BFFs had in mind for their spring break. But things have been off ever since Miles’ academic career took a turn for the worse (they don’t talk about it), so a trip to a private beach lodge might be exactly what they need. And Eva won’t admit it, but the chance to reconnect with Colton is worth putting up with Piper’s constant live streams to her thousands of “besties.”

At first, it’s all sand and waves, but tensions run high when an anonymous letter shakes up an already-flailing love triangle.

When someone turns up dead, Eva can’t even trust her closest friends—but she thinks she can trust Colton. As they get closer to the truth, they uncover secrets that upend everything they thought they knew about their fellow springbreakers.

The one person who might be able to help uncover the truth is just who Kit has been avoiding: Dr Sam Reeves. As a volunteer at the centre and a friend of the victim, the forensic psychologist could be just what her case needs.

But when her primary distributor is murdered, she realizes someone is trying to take her organization down. She seeks out the help of The Dying Five, who are excited to unmask yet another murderer.

The Dying Five do not know who they can trust in Sylvia’s inner circle. Everyone looks suspicious and motives for murder abound. Each of the heroes faces peril as the case twists this way and that, the clues leading them everywhere but to the killer. Just as they think their journey to exact justice is coming to a close, there’s another twist, one that could turn the tables on all of them. However, TD5 will not be deterred; this unlikely cast will chase the culprits with the help of some homeless friends until the criminals are caught and sent to the clink, even if it means facing the most menacing murderous monster of all.

5. Burned Out and Bled Dry by Meredith Jacobowitz

New book releases of March 2024.

Burned Out and Bled Dry is a murder mystery that follows Tyler, a stressed-out, workaholic young associate at a large law firm whose career goals come into jeopardy when she discovers her boss Kevin’s corpse in the trunk of her car and becomes involved in the subsequent murder investigation.

After discovering Kevin’s body, Tyler worries that reporting her discovery and fielding police questions would take too much time away from her work, not to mention that being involved in her boss’ murder investigation would unquestionably damage her reputation at the firm.

While trying to convince herself to do the right thing and report the body to the police, Tyler overdrinks and decides to delay her call until she sobers up. The next morning she discovers there is nothing to report: the body is gone. In short order, Kevin’s body turns up in the firm’s garage and Tyler’s omission is uncovered by the police. Shamed by her selfish knee-jerk reaction to prioritize work over reporting a murder, Tyler begins to investigate Kevin’s murder.

While investigating, she contends with Kevin’s hostile replacement, the pressure to perform at a high level and avoid being ejected from the nose hair wax defence team, and her growing suspicion that the murderer is one of her coworkers. Will Tyler solve Kevin’s murder before being killed–or worse, fired?

My new next-door neighbour is not the man of my dreams.

He’s one of the happiest people I’ve ever met, and to be honest, it’s annoying. I don’t have to be happy or like people. I’m good, thank you very much.

But Sean thinks I need to be happy, and that means being in a relationship. He’s recruited my best friend and my brother to put the “Get Jessica A Man” plan into action.

A makeover and some speed dating were absolutely not on my social calendar. But there’s no stopping him once his mind’s made up.

5. No Kisses for the Neighbor Next Door by Francesca Spencer

New book releases of March 2024.

I’m not falling for the hot firefighter next door. There’s no point. He’s not sticking around.

Despite the initial spark between us, Cam Wickham remains aloof: polite but detached.

Which suits me fine. I love books and my cozy quiet librarian life. Shush, please.

So what if he has smoldering eyes, the shoulders of a Greek hero, and a smile that melts me to mush.

Cam’s a confirmed city-boy bachelor who doesn’t even want to be in a small town like Oak River.

When the two of us are paired up at The Annual Spring Fair our attraction ignites.

My defences are toast.

Then things really heat up at the Fire Department demonstration.

After a simulated rescue from a burning tower, the pretend mouth-to-mouth resuscitation feels more like a kiss.

If Cam still decides to leave, everything could go up in smoke, including my unprotected heart.

But he can never know.

Release Date: 18 March 2024

Why am I excited about this Book?
