Introduction
Happy New Year, Bookworm Buddies! I am finally back after a long break 🥳. Today, I will share a list of closed-door romance books coming out in 2025 that I am excited to read, but before that, let me tell you why I was on a break. Recently, my family and I shifted into a new house, and settling in was difficult, so I didn’t have the time to write any posts. We have settled slowly, and I am back to writing and sharing posts with you.

1. Falling For Mr. Grump, the Big City Billionaire by Josie Frost

I never imagined that small-town charm and big business could be a stage for love to bloom.
As CEO of a billion-dollar business, I’m used to being in control.
But when my jet emergency lands in Sunset Cove, I find myself drenched in curry and face-to-face with Skye, a fiery food truck owner who doesn’t care about my power or status.
We may seem like polar opposites, but as I get to know her, our differences fade.
When her house floods and she moves across the hall from me at the inn, I run into her often. As I see her kindness and compassion for others, my feelings intensify.
Late-night walks on the beach evolve into deep conversations and passionate kisses, telling me she feels the same.
I’m captivated by her beauty, but it’s her fierce loyalty to this little town that really pulls me in.
Yeah, that’s the very town I’m here to buy up and dismantle piece by piece … and likely break her heart in the process. Couldn’t be worse.
Now I’m beginning to question what really matters.
The more my feelings for Skye grow, I can’t ignore the pull of this place where I just might find the life – and love – I’ve been missing.
Tropes:
- Small-town romance
- Forced Proximity
- Grumpy-Sunshine

First rule of fake dating: Never fall in love …
I agreed to fake date a handsome billionaire I just met over a bowl of spilled candy. (Yes, that’s really how it happened.)
“Why are you bringing a fake girlfriend along to your sister’s wedding? I mean, you’re more than tolerable to look at—”
It was the understatement of the century.
Luke Greyson was rich, sophisticated and gorgeous and now I, Isla Lovely—second oldest of the five Lovely sisters, resident of the small, quaint town of Whisper Cove, aspiring baker and current employee of three measly jobs—have agreed to play girlfriend to the very wealthy and eligible bachelor.
The gig will bring me thousands of dollars closer to my dream of opening a bakery in my hometown. All I have to do is pretend to be madly in love with the man for one weekend…

How did I end up living with my ex?
Imagine: I’m at the altar, about to marry Lucas, my parents’ “perfect” choice, when I see Matteo, my first love. Cue the runaway bride scene!
Desperate for a new start in New York, I learn my father has arranged housing – with Matteo! He’d completely forgotten he’d pressured me to dump Matteo five years ago.
Rebuilding our relationship is difficult. He’s hurt and resentful. It’s understandable because I let my parents control my life.
Living in his penthouse for four months is a constant reminder of our past. The buried feelings resurface.
Beneath his cool exterior, I see the kind man I fell for and realize the feelings are mutual.
Falling for him again is amazing, but terrifying. If my father finds out, I could be disowned, or worse, forced back to the altar with Lucas, who’s still lurking.

5. Love in the Stacks by Julie Milo

She’s focused on her career, not on the sweet coworker chipping away at the industrial-strength walls around her heart.
Nicole Delaney is eager to make her mark as a librarian at a charming Florida college, but an ambitious, and potentially controversial, project leads her straight into the one thing she’s set on avoiding—romance.
When her boss pairs her with the endearingly awkward Adam, a fellow librarian, she’s caught off guard. Adam is thoughtful, steady, and patient; he might be just what Nicole doesn’t know she needs. Though Adam’s heart has been set on Nicole from the beginning, it’s her anxious mind that he needs to win over.
As they navigate their growing connection and step outside their comfort zones, both at work and in their relationship, they discover that facing life’s challenges is much easier when you have someone by your side.

6. The Backpack Bride by Dulcie Dameron

Marry a stranger, adopt my nephew. Sounds easy enough…right?
Roxy:
After my brother’s untimely death, I’m left brokenhearted and fighting for a teenage nephew who doesn’t seem to care whether he’s out on the streets or tucked into bed at night.
Maybe I’m not the most responsible person to raise Axel, but I’m the only family he has left. I would do anything, even sacrifice my future, in order to gain permanent custody of him. Which is why I take Christian Price up on his crazy offer.
But I never could have known that agreeing to a marriage of convenience with my hot billionaire boss would also satisfy my year-long crush on the biker boy of my dreams.
Christian:
Aside from my online alter ego, all I’ve ever wanted to do was take over the family business. So why, when that goal is finally within reach, does my dad slap me with some manipulative bogus contract?
No loving father in his right mind would tell his overqualified son that he can’t inherit their family’s legacy until he’s settled down with a wife and gives proof that he’s committed to providing an heir to pass the company on to someday.
Then I find the solution herself crying in the supply room at work, and everything falls into place. There’s just one complication: my contractual marriage to Roxy quickly turns into way more than I bargained for…and something I don’t think I can give up.
Tropes:
- Marriage of Convenience
- Bookish girl and Biker boy
